Paramedic - Full Time
About The Position
Mountain West Medical Center is looking to fill the vital role of Paramedic. This position provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. The Paramedic will transport and transfer patients, assess the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Responsibilities include applying artificial respiration or administering oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation, dispensing antiseptic solution to prevent infection, starting and administering intravenous fluids, and performing other emergency medical procedures during the ambulance ride. This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must be able to provide current Utah Driver’s License.
- Must be able to provide Utah State Paramedic Certification.
- CPR Healthcare Provider/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certifications required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of working EMS experience.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within EMS.
