Paramedic - Emergency Department, Days
About The Position
The Piedmont Henry Emergency Department sees 75,000-90,000 visits per year and is licensed for 59 beds. It operates with a 3/4:1 Patient to RN Ratio and is a Level III trauma center. The department provides triage and assessment of patient complaints, medical screening exams by qualified providers with treatment plans based on assessment, appropriate drug therapy, management of critically ill patients, and patient discharge education. It is a fully accredited Stroke Center and recently added an 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with the ED. The multidisciplinary team in the ED includes: ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
- ACLS Upon Hire Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Paramedics new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 120 Days Required
- Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia and National Registry Preferred
Nice To Haves
