About The Position

The Paramedic assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that they have documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
  • Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin is required.
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Commitment to the highest ideals of the nursing profession in caring for patients
  • Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Exhibits strong decision-making skills
  • Displays excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform while under stress
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to document accurately and concisely
  • Ability to follow hospital policies, goals and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 3 years of Paramedic experience is preferred.
