Requirements
- Maintain valid Kentucky Driver’s License
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED
- Must hold and maintain Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services licensure for the level of EMT-Paramedic
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications
- Certificates of completion for ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
- Must be no younger than twenty-one (21) years of age
Nice To Haves
- Must have or obtain within twelve (12) months of employment, the certification of PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support), if offered a position
- Must complete department approved defensive driving course, if offered a position
- Must complete department approved obstacle and road driving course for each EMS apparatus, if offered a position
