About The Position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports customers of all ages to a medical facility. In addition, the paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution required
  • Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date
  • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or Amercian Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days
  • Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification
  • ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date
  • Current Minnesota Paramedic Certification or obtain within 60 days of hire date (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • Current Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or obtain within 6 months of hire date (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • National Registered Paramedic (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) within 12 months from date of hire (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • American Heart Association and American Red Cross PALS Certification upon hire or within 14 days (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • ICS-100, ICS-200 and ICS-700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or obtain within 6 months of hire date (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • Maximum weight of 215 pounds in uniform (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • Valid State Class D driver's license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record (for Air Care Paramedics)
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, problem solve, make decisions during emergency situations and work independently
  • Possess or quickly acquire knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area

Nice To Haves

  • Associate of Science degree preferred
  • Previous ambulance experience preferred
  • Previous advanced life support experience preferred
  • For Air Care Paramedics, prior flight experience preferred
