About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is hiring Paramedics in Mount Pleasant and other listed locations. The company provides emergency and scheduled medical transportation and employs licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses across the Midwest. Paramedics provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. The role involves providing care appropriate to Paramedic training, assessing patients and communicating their condition to other medical professionals, documenting patient conditions and treatment, and maintaining the ambulance in sanitary and operational condition. Safe, efficient navigation and transportation are essential.

Requirements

NREMT certification or a current state license, or a license pending.
Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to safely operate a vehicle in daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather conditions.
Pass a pre-employment interview, physical and lifting examination, drug screen, and background check.
Attend company-provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

Provide appropriate patient care within Paramedic training.
Transport patients safely and efficiently, using map reading and accurate recognition of street names, house numbers, and business addresses.
Assess patients appropriately and accurately communicate their condition to other medical professionals.
Prepare accurate written reports describing a patient's condition, medical history, and treatment provided.
Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor fluid levels and gauges.
