About The Position

Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Emergency Department Paramedic, where your skills and compassion will make a vital difference in patients' lives during their most critical moments. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to provide immediate medical care in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in the emergency department setting, under the direction of the ED physician & protocols.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P) from an accredited program
Current state licensure or registration as a Paramedic
Proven experience in emergency medical services, preferably in a hospital setting
Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures, pharmacology, and medical equipment
Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stress situations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required

Additional certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in the emergency room setting
Assess patient conditions quickly and accurately to determine appropriate treatment
Administer medications, perform advanced airway management, and utilize medical equipment as needed
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Document patient information, treatments, and interventions thoroughly and accurately
Respond to emergency situations within the hospital, including rapid response and code blue scenarios
Maintain and ensure the readiness of medical supplies and equipment
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and legal regulations
