About The Position

Administers basic and advanced life support to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital and interfacility setting as directed by local protocols and physician orders. Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance. Transports sick and injured persons to or between hospitals or other appropriate treatment facilities. Maintains a good working relationship with hospital staff, public safety agencies and the community.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Paramedic education program.
Unrestricted license to practice as a Paramedic (PARA) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.
Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Nice To Haves

Colorado Critical Care Paramedic endorsement preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
