About The Position

Paramedics at Riddle EMS work in a fast-paced, team environment providing basic and life support to individuals needing care in the field. This role requires quick thinking to evaluate care and assess needs. Communication and compassion are key to continuing the service of Main Line Health outside the hospital. This position offers opportunities to make an impact with the emergent care provided to the community.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of pre-hospital advanced life support experience or equivalent experience.
• High school graduate.
• Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program or its equivalent.
• Successful completion of an approved CCEMT-P Program or Critical Care Nursing Program.
• Satisfactory completion of practical and written examinations administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
• Current Pennsylvania certification as an EMT-Paramedic or Pre-Hospital Nurse.
• Current driver’s license valid in Pennsylvania with copy on file.
• Current Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) and ACLS certifications with copies on file.
• Hazmat Awareness, and EVOC/EMSVO all are required.

Responsibilities

• Providing basic and life support to an individual needing care in the field.
• Evaluating care and providing assessment of needs.
• Communicating effectively with patients and team members.
• Continuing the service of Main Line Health outside of the hospital.
