About The Position

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Services, Inc., contracts with local municipalities to provide emergency medical services, rescue, and/or fire services. The company is seeking a full-time Paramedic or Paramedic/Firefighter for its Rosemont contract. The position provides medical care and patient transportation at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within the employee’s scope of practice as stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.

Requirements

• Paramedic license.
• CPR certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Illinois driver's license.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• For the Paramedic/Firefighter position only: Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification.
• ACLS certification; Metro will provide training.
• PALS certification; Metro will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level within the applicable scope of practice.
• Transport patients.
