About The Position
Armor Health is hiring a Paramedic to work at Cobb County Jail in Marietta, Georgia. The position supports Armor Health’s efforts to improve correctional healthcare outcomes and provide holistic care to patients. The Paramedic assesses and manages illness or injury for patients entering the correctional facility and provides direct paramedical and comprehensive patient care as needed. The role follows departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection-control standards. Emergency care may include life-support procedures, decontamination, fluid and drug administration, obtaining EKG readings, and monitoring vital statistics.
Requirements
- State licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic.
- Two years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial assessment and management of illness or injury in accordance with specified protocols and procedures for patients entering a correctional facility.
- Provide direct paramedical and comprehensive patient care as required in each individual case.
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, as well as continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection-control standards.
- Administer appropriate emergency medical care, including life-support procedures, decontamination protocols, fluid and drug administration, obtaining EKG readings, and monitoring vital statistics.
