About The Position

This position involves providing quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of ALS Standing Orders. The Paramedic will assist in treating medical situations with appropriate techniques, resources, and equipment while maintaining the highest standard of patient care. Responsibilities include completing run reports, maintaining ALS continued medical education, and possessing thorough knowledge of ambulance equipment, supplies, and medications. The role requires professional and courteous communication and service to customers, understanding vehicle checkout procedures, reporting equipment failure, and submitting expended supply reports daily. Additionally, the Paramedic will record all runs in the ALS Log spreadsheet, attend staff meetings, and perform stocking and cleaning of the ALS vehicle and station. A comprehensive understanding of ALS policies and procedures is essential, along with the ability to complete other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current Florida Paramedic certification
  • Current BLS & ACLS Certification
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology
  • Two years working experience as a Paramedic.
  • National Registry

Responsibilities

  • Prompt and regular attendance at work.
  • Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of ALS Standing Orders.
  • Assist in treating with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards.
  • Complete run reports for each transport with appropriate patient care documentation and billing information.
  • Maintain ALS continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Provide our customers with professional and courteous communication and service.
  • Understand the procedure for vehicle checkout, reporting equipment failure, submitting expended supply reports on a daily basis.
  • Record all runs in ALS Log spreadsheet when indicated.
  • Attend Staff meetings.
  • Perform stocking and cleaning of ALS vehicle and station.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of ALS policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
