About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of emergency medical services (EMS) duties, primarily focused on 911 emergency responses, and non-emergency local transports throughout the City of Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca. This is a part-time position with 24 hours or less per week. Shift/schedule and hours per week will vary. Essential functions included in the job description may include tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• AHA BLS Provider
• Valid Arizona driver's license
• AHA ACLS
• Arizona Paramedic Certification

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of facility along with other crew members
• Checks tools, equipment, supplies, and materials of each ambulance to ensure that all are in proper operating condition
• Initiates pre-hospital medical care to individuals
• Provides basic life support and assists paramedic personnel, or provides advanced life support if certified as a paramedic, at emergency scenes
• Participates in public education/information events, such as station tours or group presentations
• Participates in regular training/drills
