Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Paramedic Patient Care Tech at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: AZ
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association ACLS, within 6 months
  • American Heart Association PALS, within 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic NREMT

Responsibilities

  • Assists in patient/equipment preparation and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
  • Documents clinically relevant findings in patient's record according to hospital protocols
  • Prepares patients for transportation to other department/areas
  • Assists with patient admission discharge and transfer. Discharges patients, documents discharge, and adjusts discharge with MD order and in collaboration with RN
  • Initiates orders according to the time performance standards
