About The Position

As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Requirements

  • High School Graduate, upon hire or High School GED, upon hire
  • Driver's License: TX, upon hire
  • Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: TX, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
  • Rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions.
  • Safely operate emergency vehicles and document care.
  • Demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure personal, crew, patient and bystander's safety: scene size up, emergency scenes are dynamic events; the paramedic should always look out first for their safety and then the safety of others.
  • Provide patient care functions according to protocol, procedure and written directives to level of certification.
  • Perform a patient assessment throughout a call on every patient encountered, providing appropriate treatment and transportation decisions within the PI scope of practice.
  • Perform ALS transports.
  • Perform Peripheral IV access.
  • Perform Gastric tube placement.
  • Perform EZ IO.
