About The Position
Metro Paramedic Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Services, Inc., contracts with local municipalities to provide Emergency Medical Services, Rescue, and/or Fire Services. The company attributes its success to the exceptional, compassionate customer service provided by its employees. This full-time Paramedic/Firefighter position is for the Glen Ellyn contract. The primary function of this role is to deliver medical care and transportation to patients at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, adhering to the scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.
Requirements
- Paramedic License
- Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
- 1 year experience
- CPR Certified
- 21 Years of age
- Valid Illinois Driver's License
- ACLS (Metro will train)
- PALS (Metro will train)
- Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care and transportation for a patient at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois
