About The Position

Spinal Recovery and Joint Center provides orthopedic outpatient therapy and advanced, non-surgical spine and joint care. The Paramedic / EMT supports clinical operations and assists physicians and nursing staff with patient care, basic emergency procedures, and treatment preparation, helping ensure patient safety and smooth clinic operations. The role is part-time in Warren, Michigan, with a schedule of Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and pays $24–$26 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current Paramedic license (EMT-P).
Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of medical principles and practices consistent with EMT/Paramedic training.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and treatment rooms for procedures, including setting up supplies and assisting with IVs.
Assist with sedation under physician direction at designated locations.
Collect patient histories and communicate changes in patient condition to nurses and physicians.
Support patient care planning and clinical documentation.
Perform phlebotomy, basic lab procedures, wound cultures, point-of-care testing, and EKGs.
Clean and prepare rooms between procedures and restock supplies.
Maintain patient confidentiality and complete required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
