About The Position

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is looking for an experienced Paramedic to work in the Emergency Department and experience a rewarding and life-changing career. This is a part-time position with 24 hours per week, working a mid-shift from 12 PM to 12:30 AM. The schedule is a rotating 6-week cycle, including every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday rotation. This position is benefits eligible and includes a $2,500.00 sign-on bonus. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. The medical office building houses specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Outpatient services include physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. The emergency department has dedicated rooms for children, pregnant women, heart attacks, eye injuries and critical medical conditions, with a focus on providing excellent Emergency care.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Paramedic certification
<2 years of experience
No supervisor experience

Nice To Haves

2-5 years of experience

Responsibilities

Performs routine equipment function tests and calibrations.
Supports and assists with the delivery of patient care.
Performs invasive procedures, as directed by the RN or Physician.
Assists with the maintenance and cleaning of patient care equipment.
Assists with the inventory of supplies and equipment ensuring adequate supply levels.
