About The Position

An exceptional opportunity for a qualified, motivated and committed Paramedic to deliver the highest quality holistic patient care resulting in the best healthcare outcomes and extraordinary patient satisfaction scores in a highly collaborative team model. The Paramedic assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that they have documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice. The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes ten hospitals, nearly 2,000 physicians and more than 45 health centers and clinics draw patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral.
  • Commitment to the highest ideals of the nursing profession in caring for patients.
  • Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Exhibits strong decision-making skills.
  • Displays excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform while under stress.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to document accurately and concisely.
  • Ability to follow hospital policies, goals and procedures.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
  • Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 3 years of Paramedic experience is preferred.
