About The Position

This position is responsible for providing quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Critical Care Training, and approved medical protocols. The role involves assessing and treating medical situations with appropriate techniques, maintaining the highest standard of patient care and professionalism. Responsibilities include completing run reports, maintaining knowledge of equipment and supplies, providing professional communication, marketing the ALS/CCP program, and performing stocking and cleaning duties. The role requires in-depth knowledge of ALS/CCP policies and procedures and may involve other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current Florida Paramedic certification
  • Current BLS & ACLS Certification
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology
  • Two years working experience as a Paramedic.
  • National Registry
  • Critical patient inter-facility transfer experience
  • Critical Care certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and approved medical protocols.
  • Assess and treat with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment), any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care and professionalism according to current company standards.
  • Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Critical Care Training, ACLS, and Critical Care Transport Standing Orders.
  • Attend all Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses as required by MedFleet Clinical Operations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other individuals within the community and EMS system.
  • Assist in treating with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards.
  • Complete run reports for each transport with appropriate patient care documentation and billing information.
  • Maintain Paramedic/CCP continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Provide customers with professional and courteous communication and service.
  • Actively market the ALS/CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of the ALS/CCP program.
  • Understand the procedure for vehicle checkout, reporting equipment failure, submitting expended supply reports on a daily basis.
  • Record all runs in ALS/CCP Log spreadsheet when indicated.
  • Attend Paramedic/CCP Staff meetings.
  • Perform stocking and cleaning of vehicle and station.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of ALS/CCP policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other such duties as may be required.
