About The Position
The Paramedic is a licensed Paramedic and functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab, and physician(s). He/she assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.
Requirements
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum education required for licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Florida.
- State of Florida Paramedic License
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Completes Blood Draw competency within 3-months of hire into position.
- Completes EKG competency within three (3) months of hire into the position.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of Emergency Services experience preferred.
- CPI certification within three (3) months of hire into position.
