Requirements

  • 1–3 years of civil litigation experience preferred
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must pass a background and drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with California court systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Apply legal knowledge gained through formal paralegal training
  • Work with California and Federal laws, including court procedures and e-filing
  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery, and subpoenas
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders
  • Review and summarize case files, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses
  • Draft clear, professional legal correspondence and documentation
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, courts, clients, and staff
  • Use Microsoft Office proficiently
  • Follow established procedures with accuracy and consistency
