About The Position

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 states, has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal to work in its fast paced and welcoming St. Louis office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience. This position requires excellent computer and document organization skills, a working knowledge/experience with Word and Outlook, and a familiarity with iManage or other document management systems. iTimekeep and/or other timekeeping software proficiency is preferred and experience with e-discovery is a plus. This is a full-time position, which may have flexible options for a hybrid schedule. Experience with Healthcare, Employment law, and General Commercial liability is a plus, but not mandatory. Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills, pay high attention to detail, be self-motivated, with the ability to multitask, and be able to prioritize work for multiple attorneys.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of trial and litigation paralegal experience
  • Significant knowledge of court rules, calendaring, e-filing and procedures
  • Proven litigation skills
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • ABA approved Paralegal certificate
  • iTimekeep and/or other timekeeping software proficiency is preferred and experience with e-discovery is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format.
  • Prepare medical record chronologies.
  • Analysis and review of case documents in order to assist in deposition and trial preparation.
  • Contact clients, witnesses, experts, third parties, and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter.
  • Assist attorneys in research, drafting pleadings, subpoenas for records, disclosures, interrogatories, discovery requests, and motions while under supervision.
  • Work closely with legal assistants to schedule and calendar for attorney depositions and activities related to depositions (i.e. court reporter, witnesses, opposing counsel).
  • Track all requests made for documents and records, follow up on the status of requests, and verify receipt of documents and records.
  • Record all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters.
