About The Position
Downtown Oakland, civil defense litigation law firm seeks paralegal for full-time position.
Requirements
- Certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association or alternative credentials identified in Business and Professions Code section 6450
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills will be necessary for communications with clients, experts, and other professionals
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a paralegal
- Relevant work experience
- Legal research and/or writing experience
Responsibilities
- Reviewing discovery and identifying relevant records to subpoena
- Reviewing and summarizing medical records and imaging
- Identifying, contacting, and retaining, scheduling, and file management of experts
- Analysis and preparation of evidence for dispositive motions and trials
- Billing work done in office billing system
