About The Position

The Paralegal will provide support for a wide array of legal matters and direct support to attorneys responsible for various corporate and/or service line functions. This is a full-time temporary position, working 40 hours per week, with an anticipated duration of approximately 12 to 16 weeks. Associate’s degree in paralegal studies required
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or with legal support required
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Legal Research Tools (e.g., Westlaw)
Knowledge of Legal Billing Software (e.g., Legal Tracker)

Nice To Haves

Previous paralegal experience preferred
Certified Paralegal (CP) from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved program.

Responsibilities

Provides legal support for the area of support.
Reviews and prepares various legal documents and correspondence, manages document templates and ensures proper version control.
Conducts legal, factual and records-based research for the area of support.
Contributes to process development and improvement, assisting with workflows and internal strategy.
Organizes and tracks legal matters and requests for the area of support.
Monitors changes in laws, guidelines and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
