About The Position

MARKS, O’NEILL, O’BRIEN, DOHERTY & KELLY, a premier insurance defense law firm, with offices in Philadelphia, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Cherry Hill, NJ; Wilmington, DE; Towson, MD; Tarrytown, NY and New York City, is seeking to hire an experienced paralegal to support one or more of the Firm’s offices. This is a fully remote position with 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, day shift.

Requirements

• 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm or in insurance claims.
• Familiarity with PA, NJ, DE, MD and/or NY laws and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, document management software and Nuance.
• Deadline and detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Prior insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
• Applicants with a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of pleadings including answers to complaints, motions, etc.
• Preparing and monitoring the case calendar, adhering to compliance deadlines for multiple clients.
• Reviewing medical records and preparing summaries.
• Ability to track and meet deadlines
