About The Position

We are seeking a paralegal to join our legal team, primarily focusing on discovery document review and providing administrative support to a senior attorney. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while assisting the attorney in various tasks, including the preparation of expert binders and drafting templates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mass Tort Paralegal with a focus on document review and administrative support.
  • Proficient in legal research, document management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in mass tort litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a thorough and timely review of documents related to mass tort cases, including medical records, pleadings, depositions, and correspondence.
  • Organize and manage large volumes of documents, ensuring proper categorization and identification of relevant materials.
  • Assist in identifying key evidence and potential case strategies through document analysis.
  • Prepare summaries and reports on relevant findings to support case development.
  • Collaborate with the senior attorney to prepare expert binders, exhibit lists, and trial notebooks.
  • Draft and maintain templates for legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
  • Manage attorney's calendar, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document retrieval.
  • Conduct legal research to support case arguments, motions, and legal strategies.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide case updates and gather necessary information.
  • Assist in preparing clients for depositions, meetings, and trial testimony.
  • Work closely with other members of the legal team, including paralegals, attorneys, and support staff, to ensure seamless case management.
