Asheville office in downtown location seeks a full-time litigation paralegal to join the civil team. Responsibilities include analyzing medical files and discovery requests, instrumental investigations into matters impacting defense of cases, assisting with responding to discovery, and assisting with deposition, hearing, and trial preparations. Hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Outlook and internet research
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and/or Kofax PDF
  • Exceptional proofreading, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles
  • Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
  • Must be detail-oriented and team-oriented
  • paralegal certificate or two years’ experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in a litigation practice.
