About The Position
Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. is seeking a full-time, onsite Paralegal for their Foreclosure, Evictions and Bankruptcy Practice Group in the Columbia, SC office. The firm has over 110 attorneys and serves a wide range of clients in various practice areas. This role involves managing a high volume of case files and supporting attorneys in foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy matters.
Requirements
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, or litigation
- Experience with state and federal e-filing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
Responsibilities
- Manage high volume of case files and track deadlines from intake through resolution
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, and other legal documents
- File documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filing
- Assist attorneys with foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy matters, including proofs of claim and motions for relief from stay
- Coordinate service of process and monitor case progress
- Communicate directly with courts, clients, and opposing counsel regarding case status
- Prepare files and materials for hearings and court appearances
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of confidential information
