About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to manage a dedicated caseload of significant injury matters, including major auto accidents, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death cases. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing consistency, organization, and reassurance during one of the most difficult periods of their lives. You will work closely with attorneys, investigators, and medical providers to move cases forward efficiently and thoughtfully. Our firm has a strong legal support infrastructure, including team members who assist with medical bills, liens, settlements, disbursements, and case administration — allowing you to focus on high-level case management and client service.

Requirements

  • 2–8+ years of personal injury paralegal experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a client-first mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Must be based in New Mexico

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Needles and/or Filevine strongly preferred
  • Drafting and preparing demand letters and settlement packages
  • Managing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and consistency
  • Reviewing and processing incoming correspondence with sound judgment
  • Protecting client confidentiality, including redaction and document control
  • Maintaining clean, current, and well-documented case files
  • Tracking statutes of limitation, deadlines, and follow-up dates
  • Following up persistently to obtain medical records and billing
  • Preparing materials for experts and attorneys
  • Creating clear, accurate disbursement statements clients can understand

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular, proactive client communication (minimum every 28 days)
  • Review and organize medical records, bills, and insurance information
  • Analyze liability, damages, and coverage issues
  • Coordinate with attorneys, investigators, medical providers, and experts
  • Prepare cases for potential litigation and settlement negotiations
  • Ensure deadlines, statutes, and internal milestones are consistently met
  • Maintain accurate, detailed case notes in the firm’s case management system
