About The Position

The Attorney General's Office is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Paralegal in the Insurance & Financial Services Division (IFSD). This division is responsible for investigations, mediations, and enforcement actions concerning banking, securities, insurance products, and other financial services. The Paralegal will provide essential administrative, technical, and investigative support for ongoing settlement implementations, mediations, and consumer outreach initiatives. This role involves assisting IFSD attorneys and technical staff with litigation and related investigations, which includes organizing and reviewing discovery materials, analyzing and manipulating large datasets, conducting research, managing and reviewing files, entering case information into databases, and communicating with consumers, witnesses, and experts via various channels. Additionally, the Paralegal will be responsible for data entry into Excel, performing formulaic computations, and conducting searches on this data.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience providing support to experts and attorneys in a legal setting.
  • Familiarity with consumer lending rules, securities regulation, and/or consumer insurance issues.
  • Other programming or data analysis experience is also helpful.

Responsibilities
