Builtech is seeking a Paralegal to join our fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Paralegal experience with sophisticated law firm or in-house legal department, ideally with a focus on construction law or a strong foundation in corporate or real estate law.
  • Paralegal certificate or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of time-sensitive work while maintaining attention to detail and high quality standards.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry lightweight office items such as supplies or equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ideally 1-3 years of Administrative experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Exchange
  • Willingness to learn and advance with the company
  • Highschool Diploma, GED or Equivalent experience is accepted
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AIA contracts software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and manage subcontracts and repeat client contracts in coordination with in-house counsel, project teams, and clients.
  • Maintain contract trackers and coordinate with internal teams to ensure contracts are completed efficiently and in accordance with company processes and risk management protocols.
  • Support project compliance by tracking and proactively managing deal sheet reviews, preliminary notices, bonds, licensing, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), vendor agreements, notices, delays, claims, disputes, and mechanics’ liens.
  • Assist in-house counsel with litigation matters, including maintaining calendars and dockets, reviewing documents, and compiling discovery materials.
  • Manage state and municipal contractor licensing registrations and requirements.
  • Maintain corporate entity records, including registrations, annual filings, and related documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve business processes and mitigate risk.
