About The Position

Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has an opportunity for a litigation paralegal seeking a role with increased flexibility without giving up the challenge of a full-cycle litigation practice. Working with a small dedicated team of attorneys servicing the firm’s largest client, this litigation paralegal will focus on defending the client in wage and hour individual arbitrations. Core responsibilities will regularly include, but will not be limited to, project administration, reporting, managing litigation, preparing and summarizing documents, organizing case and project files, managing discovery-related activities, using automation to create draft motions, witness outlines and other documents for attorney review. Requirements

  • Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Paralegal experience is preferred, in particular working in a labor/employment practice and Class Action/PAGA matters.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams; Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw, Live Note, Document Management System, expense and billing systems.
  • Experience working with SmartSheet is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks/projects with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a self-learner with the motivation to continuously develop skillsets, particularly pertaining to ever-changing software and technology.
