Assists attorneys with trial work, pre-trial litigation, and manages caseload as directed. Serves as the paralegal for the entire District Attorney’s Office. This role requires professionalism, composure, and appropriate interpersonal skills in an adversarial system, which includes contentious dealings with opposing counsel, defendants, victims, witnesses, law enforcement, and the public. The position also involves exposure to sensitive and disturbing case details, including assaults, murders, and child abuse, as well as gruesome and sexually explicit materials. Additional duties may be assigned in County Court and District Court, including assisting in the First Appearance Center.
