About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal for our Pre-litigation Department to join our team on-site in our Burbank office. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in employment litigation or pre-litigation. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing intake files, speaking with clients, evaluating the legal strength of potential claims, and drafting clear recommendations for attorney review. We are hiring an in-house Litigation Evaluation Paralegals to join our Secure Offer team at our Burbank, CA office. These roles are central to the early development of employment litigation matters, requiring a high level of client engagement, legal analysis, and collaboration with attorneys. The ideal candidates will bring prior experience in a law office or legal environment, with a strong preference for those who have worked in employment law or civil litigation. You must be comfortable managing a high caseload, conducting sensitive client interviews by phone, and drafting professional, analytical summaries for legal review. Success in this role requires excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong legal writing abilities and a high degree of attention to detail. You should be highly organized, a proactive team player, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in employment litigation or pre-litigation.
  • Prior experience working in a law office or legal field
  • English Proficiency: C2 level fluency in speaking and writing

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed client intake and fact-gathering calls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing monthly updates and addressing questions.
  • Review case files to ensure thorough understanding of each matter.
  • Draft professional legal correspondence to opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff to align facts with legal strategy.
  • Execute case development tasks, such as requesting key documents and evidence.
  • Deliver disengagement notices to clients with professionalism and compassion.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with assigned associate attorneys to discuss case updates and priorities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all case activity in the firm’s case management system.
  • Meet productivity and quality benchmarks related to case progress and written deliverables.
