About The Position

Techno is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support major infrastructure and transportation initiatives throughout the Northeast region. This role will provide legal and administrative support related to complex public-sector projects, contracts, compliance tracking, stakeholder coordination, and board administration. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction management, procurement, and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of paralegal, legal assistant, contract administration, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting public-sector, infrastructure, engineering, transportation, or construction-related projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with contract administration, regulatory compliance, and public procurement processes preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, maintain, and track legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and project records using document management systems.
  • Prepare, edit, format, and manage legal documents, reports, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Support legal operations including billing coordination, invoicing, and budget tracking for outside counsel and legal services.
  • Conduct legal research related to infrastructure, environmental, transportation, procurement, and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare summaries, memoranda, and supporting materials for attorneys and project leadership.
  • Track and coordinate responses to public record requests, appeals, and compliance-related documentation requests.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding agreements, documentation, and project deliverables.
  • Assist with Board and Committee meeting coordination, scheduling, agenda preparation, draft meeting minutes, and archival recordkeeping.
  • Monitor compliance obligations under federal, state, and contractual requirements while maintaining organized tracking systems and documentation.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
