About The Position

Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a Global Markets Paralegal to support partners and senior attorneys on cross-border structured securities offerings for global investment bank clients. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing transaction documents, preparing regulatory filings, and assisting with various structured products transactions across multiple asset classes. The primary responsibility will be documenting and managing structured securities issuances governed by English, French, or New York law for European and US-based clients. The paralegal will coordinate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and contribute to exceptional client service on high-profile transactions. Regular communication with clients and other legal counsels regarding outstanding deals is expected, as is assisting with the filing of deals with European regulators and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The role also requires maintaining detailed records of client deal history and assuming responsibility for crucial administrative duties related to those records.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university (preferably in Economics, Finance or other related fields); minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with Bloomberg Terminal or other programming languages is a plus but not required.
  • Availability/Flexibility to support early operations (including starting work at 5am Eastern Time) and this position will be eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Support partners and senior attorneys on cross-border structured securities offerings for global investment bank clients.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on securities, banking, and regulatory matters.
  • Draft, review, and coordinate the execution of offering documents and transaction materials.
  • Review and prepare regulatory filings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with a broad range of structured products transactions across multiple asset classes.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to support transaction execution.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the delivery of exceptional client service on sophisticated, high-profile transactions.
  • Documenting and managing structured securities issuances governed by English, French or New York law for European and US based clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and other legal counsels regarding outstanding deals.
  • Assist with the filing of deals with European regulators and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
