Stein Sperling is seeking a highly organized and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our growing Trusts & Estates Practice Group. This role is essential in supporting attorneys with estate planning, trust and estate administration, and accompanying probate matters, while also helping to ensure a seamless and responsive client experience from initial intake through file closure. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in trusts and estates administration, with a strong understanding of estate planning concepts, fiduciary responsibilities, and probate procedures. This position requires both substantive legal support and coordination responsibilities, serving as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, financial institutions, and other professionals. In this role, the paralegal will assist attorneys with all aspects of estate and trust planning, including meeting with clients to discuss their estate planning goals and objectives; prepare and draft estate planning documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives, and related instruments; review and revise existing estate plans to ensure they reflect current client wishes and comply with applicable law; assist with the preparation, review, and organization of asset summaries, beneficiary designation forms, and funding documentation for trusts; communicate with clients, financial advisors, insurance professionals, and other third-party professionals involved in the estate planning process; maintain organized case files and attorney calendars; coordinate new client and matter intake by gathering and organizing relevant information and ensuring compliance with firm policies; serve as an initial point of contact for prospective clients and facilitate a smooth onboarding process; schedule meetings and manage correspondence with clients and third-party professionals; oversee aspects of file management, including document organization and coordination of file closing procedures in collaboration with billing and finance; and act as a liaison among clients, attorneys, and external partners while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
