About The Position

Randall Construction Holdings is seeking a skilled Paralegal Assistant to join our Legal Team and work in our Apopka, FL headquarters. This is a 100% in-office position. A Paralegal Assistant provides critical administrative and clerical support to attorneys and other staff to ensure operational efficiency. Responsibilities typically include managing calendars, transcribing notes, drafting correspondence, proofreading, and coordinating use of internal conference rooms, as well as ensuring the legal functions of the work-day run smoothly. This is a position in a commercial business setting. We have a new start-up corporate law department and seek an organized and detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to join the legal team. In this role, you will work closely with our two attorneys to manage case files, communicate with internal and external company personnel and appropriate and usual communications with office personnel of other attorneys as directed by our counsel. You will be essential to keeping cases and matters moving efficiently through document preparation, revisions, scheduling, and deadline tracking.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, Paralegal certification, or equivalent work experience in a legal setting (in-house corporate setting or law firm)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills that reflect the ability to analyze a broad range of issues and provide solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prepare compelling presentations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats including individually and in group settings.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office products

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of construction legal practice is a plus
  • Candidates who may have been out of the workplace for a time and requires some reasonable “refresh time” not to exceed the standard probationary period.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, scan, and maintain physical and digital case files, pleadings, and discovery indices using available technology.
  • Experience and capability with court filings (Circuit, Federal; CM-ECF and PACER).
  • Review, answer and manage emails, manage attorney calendars, and schedule all case events.
  • Type, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
  • Assist with electronic and physical court and arbitration filings (under Rules governing Circuit and Federal cases).
  • Assist in preparing trial binders, organizing exhibits, and coordinating logistics for hearings and trials.
  • Office tasks as assigned.
