About The Position

Security Services Northwest is seeking a Paralegal Assistant to join our corporate team at our Sequim headquarters. This position plays a vital role in supporting executive leadership by managing complex legal, insurance, and licensing documentation across multiple states. The successful candidate will work closely with the President and leadership team to ensure all company, fleet, and family estate matters are properly managed and compliant with applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Current Wyoming State Security Guard License
  • Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
  • Reliable transportation

  • Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations
  • Background in claims management, paralegal work, corporate secretary, property management, or compliance management.
  • Experience managing estates and vacation homes, including property maintenance coordination and vendor oversight.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work under confidentiality clauses and sign a company and family NDA.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Must be able to conduct regular walking
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
  • Must reside within 20miles of Sequim, WA
  • There is NO remote work!

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain corporate licensing and corporate insurance records.
  • Oversee personal and private fleet insurance, including renewal schedules and claim management.
  • Serve as Safety Committee Director and Organizer, ensuring compliance and proactive workplace safety.
  • Handle family estate planning documentation and coordination with legal counsel.
  • Maintain general liability insurance and licensing compliance for all company entities and state operations.
  • Oversee and manage internal claims, tracking outcomes and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with leadership, HR, and accounting to align compliance and insurance documentation.
  • Support the expansion of state security operations, ensuring proper licensing and insurance coverage.
  • Prepare and arrange annual board minutes and corporate meetings.
  • Attend the mandatory Wednesday corporate meeting.
