About The Position

The Paralegal provides essential legal and administrative support to the VP of Legal Counsel & Risk Management. This role assists in the preparation, organization, and management of legal documents; supports compliance and risk mitigation workflows; and contributes to efficient day‑to-day operations of the Legal & Risk Management function.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Paralegal certificate from an accredited program (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of paralegal experience, ideally in corporate or compliance settings.
Familiarity with state, federal, and industry‑specific regulatory requirements.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
High degree of integrity and professionalism.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Collaborative working style across teams.
Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and organizing legal documents including contracts, agreements, statements, and amendments.
Conduct preliminary legal research and summarize findings.
Support compliance efforts by monitoring deadlines and regulatory updates.
Maintain and organize legal files, contract repositories, and documentation.
Assist in due diligence during business initiatives.
Help coordinate litigation activities and liaise with external counsel.
Track insurance documentation, renewals, and claims.
Support risk assessment processes and prepare related documentation.
Assist with data privacy and security compliance workflows.
Monitor key dates to ensure timely compliance actions.
Prepare presentations, summaries, and briefing materials for leadership.
Serve as a coordination point for internal legal support needs.
