Spokane Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator to provide flexible building-based support across multiple students, classrooms, and settings. This role assists with the implementation of academic, behavioral, social-emotional, executive functioning, and independence supports identified through IEPs, 504 plans, MTSS interventions, and building-level student support systems. The Paraeducator will support changing student, classroom, and building needs as directed by administrators and case managers. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of various student support plans, assisting students in accessing instruction and classroom routines, providing intermittent personal care and mobility assistance, supporting student independence and self-regulation, monitoring and documenting student data, utilizing assistive technology and behavior support strategies, and collaborating with various school staff. The role requires flexibility and the ability to provide physical assistance, lifting, or toileting support as needed, and completion of required CPI, de-escalation, and safety training.
