About The Position
Cromwell Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for Cromwell High School. This role involves supporting students with disabilities in various aspects of their daily activities and adapting to diverse classroom settings. The paraeducator will work under the guidance of special and/or regular education teachers, assisting with tasks such as therapy activities, toileting, lifting, accompanying students on field trips, providing life skill instruction, and performing other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
Requirements
- Associates degree; 60 college credits; or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students in all aspects of their day
- Working in diverse classroom settings under the direction of special/and or regular education teachers
- Assisting with therapy activities
- Assisting with toileting
- Assisting with lifting
- Accompanying students on field trips
- Providing life skill instruction
- Performing all other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal
