About The Position

Part-time paraeducator position in Supplemental Programs, working 3 hours per day for 184 days. The paraeducator works under the direction of a licensed staff member to provide supplemental reading and math support to at-risk students and may also provide social/emotional behavioral support. The employee must work physically in the building. The position may be filled after a 5-day posting period, and the start date is ASAP. Insurance benefits are available for assigned positions of 6 hours or more per day.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have completed 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits, obtained an associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution, or passed the ParaEducator exam or ParaPro exam; documentation is required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability and desire to work with technology and computers.
Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
Ability to supervise students.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to maintain regular attendance and complete an assigned day.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Must be physically working in the building.

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of a licensed staff member.
