Paraeducator Substitutes As Needed
About The Position
Region 14 Schools is seeking paraeducator substitutes to work as needed across the district. The role supports students with disabilities and works collaboratively with the special education team. Substitutes independently deliver instruction planned by certified staff, collect data on student performance, assist children, foster independence, and implement communication and behavior plans. They are expected to understand classroom modifications and adaptations that promote student success. The position starts immediately and remains open until filled. Compensation is $17 per hour, and the role is not eligible for benefits.
Requirements
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of childhood development.
- Excellent teaming, collaboration, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Current PMT certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- High school diploma and proof of passing the Para Pro exam.
- Relevant experience or a college degree.
