About The Position

Under direct supervision, perform a wide variety of services associated with the special education instructional program in the classroom and other locations in the school. Employees in this assignment spend a major portion of their time working with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent in preparing instructional materials, and in performing other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of 2 years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units) OR Possession of an Associate's Degree or higher degree OR Passage of the CBEST exam OR Passage of a BUSD approved Paraprofessional Exam
• Copy of Transcript OR Paraprofessional Testing Resume

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience is desirable in working with special education children, as a teacher, with recognized youth groups, or as a volunteer at a school.
