Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Documentation of one of the following: a. A copy of an official college transcript indicating an AA degree or higher OR b. 72 quarter or 48 semester credits earned in 100 level and higher courses OR c. Official documentation of a passing score on Washington State approved assessment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with students with special needs.
- Familiarity with the Washington State approved assessment for paraeducator eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a special education student.
- Assist students with daily tasks and learning activities.
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) under the guidance of special education teachers.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, reporting observations to the teacher.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
