This position is for a Paraeducator Life Skills at Moses Lake High School. The role involves working 6.75 hours per day for 180 days per year, with shift times subject to building needs. The paraeducator will work as part of a teaching team, assisting teachers with lesson plans, materials, supervisory tasks, and student work evaluation. Key responsibilities include helping students with basic fundamentals, implementing behavior management plans, de-escalating student misbehavior, and maintaining student safety and a harmonious atmosphere. The role requires adaptability, punctuality, and the ability to assist students with personal care needs. The paraeducator will also be responsible for observing and recording student progress, learning new software and technology, and maintaining confidentiality of student records.
