This position involves coordinating activities or performing specialized duties to assist in providing instruction to and supervision of students in a variety of instructional and non-instructional programs, specifically within a Life Skills classroom. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 72 college quarter credits or passing an ETS test. The paraeducator must be able to communicate effectively, complete tasks accurately and efficiently without constant supervision, and relate positively to students, parents, and staff. They will work effectively with small groups or individual students under the supervision of certificated staff and maintain accurate records. Alternatives to these qualifications may be accepted by the board.
