This position involves assisting in the teaching process and working directly with children in classes and English Language Development (ELD) classes under the direction and supervision of a classroom teacher or EL Teacher. The Paraeducator will support students academically, socially, and behaviorally in various settings, including inclusion, small group, individual, or sub-separate settings. They will also assist with standardized and non-standardized tests, provide physical management support including crisis management and restraint procedures (training provided), collect data, escort students, and promote independence for students with disabilities. Confidentiality regarding student information is essential, adhering to FERPA and HIPPA regulations. The role also includes general duties as assigned by teachers, principals, supervisors, or the Superintendent.
